Editorial Reviews

"A meaningful prayer life is one of the most difficult things to develop as teenage girls aspire to grow closer to God. Learning how to deal with school, family, friends, and life in general through prayer is essential. George challenges teen girls to look at Jesus' life and God's commands to see how they are measuring up. She shows that, although maintaining a steady prayer life is hard, it's key in maturing as a Christian. Questions at the end of each chapter encourage the reader to look into the Bible to further understand why prayer and trying to be like Jesus are so important. Any teen girl who wants to acquire a more meaningful prayer life would benefit from reading this book."

"Elizabeth George's approach has the feel of a gentle, yet wise teacher lovingly guiding those under her to a deeper, more committed life in Christ."
Christian Library Journal

"Living for God is hard, but becoming a woman after God's heart is an adventure. Teenage girls will appreciate George's reflections on meaningful relationships, making wise choices, and fulfilling the desires of your heart. "Would you like to know more" sections for each chapter include questions, Scriptures to look up, and places to write personal reflections. This is a great tool for a girls' study or mother/daughter times at home."

"I always enjoy reading Elizabeth George's books. I have read almost all of the books she has written to date. And after reading this last book she wrote I found myself wishing I had been given the opportunity to read a book such as this when I was younger. I got a lot out of reading it NOW (as I do when I read ANY of her books). I loved how George guided the reader through the book and in to a deeper walk with God. There is real life application points that can be made through this book—the guiding questions that help the reader to take a look at their own life and bring about changes within themselves. George has written a beautiful book that will truly impact young ladies that read it. It is truly a wonderful book and full of the power that brings about change. I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it to any woman of any age!"

“It is good to see the teen version of this book and I think many churches could use this book in teaching their girls in their churches the value of Christian womanhood and a pure heart before God.  The struggle against the prince and power of the air is especially difficult among young people as we try to keep them from impure and worldly desires.”
